Each year, Main Street Hanover searches for the perfect Christmas tree to take center stage in Center Square and become the sparkling centerpiece of Hanover’s holiday season.

The tree is more than a decoration—it is a symbol of the community and the heart of our annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, where families and friends gather to officially welcome the holiday season.

Could Your Tree Be the One?

We are looking for a beautiful, healthy evergreen located in Hanover or the surrounding Hanover area. Ideal trees are:

• Approximately 30 feet tall

• A pine, spruce, fir, or similar evergreen variety

• Full and symmetrical on all sides

• No wider than approximately 20 feet in diameter

The Borough of Hanover coordinates and covers the cutting, transportation, and installation of the selected tree.

Become Part of Hanover’s Christmas Tradition

Donating your tree is a wonderful way to make a lasting contribution to the community. The selected tree donor is recognized as a special Guest of Honor at the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and receives the honor of helping light the tree for the community.
